LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Only on WINK, we're hearing from the family of Alex Forde, one of three people dead after what investigators call a double murder-suicide case in Lehigh Acres.

The bodies of Alex and Lisa Forde were found with their one-year-old child Caleb on Thursday.

"A man that loved people and that loved his family, and that's who he was," Alex Forde's stepfather Raymond Davis tells us as he points to a family portrait.

Saturday, friends and family gathered to share stories and memories about the family lost. Including, stories about three previous children, ages 18, 17, and 13, all living in Maryland and coming down for their dad's funeral.

"He really was a special guy and he had a special family and we miss them," Davis continues.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office shows Forde was arrested last year for battery, but Forde's family says both sides were involved.

Forde's co-worker Carlos Machado tells WINK News there were no signs foreshadowing a problem to come.

"We never think about it, something like that happening you know."

However, his brother Ronnie Forde, tells us the morning of Alex's death he talked to his brother at 7 a.m. Alex indicated a problem from the night before stemming from another relationship. He says the sheriff's office is looking into it, but haven't given the family many details yet.

Detectives aren't even saying who's responsible for the killings.

"Right now everybody's so torn. Right now nobody knows what to believe, so we'll see what happens. We just have to wait," Forde's cousin Orlando Moore explains.

The funeral for Alex Forde is set for Thursday at New Image Ministries in Lehigh Acres.

Lisa Eddy-Forde and her son Caleb will be laid to rest Wednesday. Eddy-Forde's co-workers at Lee EMS will be standing guard at her casket in a show of support.
