New jail opens in Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - The new Charlotte County Jail Sally Port and lobby officially opened today.
The expanded facility will increase bed count from 528 to almost 1,000.
Jail visitations and others will continue to use the visitation and information building at the front of the jail property.
