VERO BEACH, Fla. (AP) - South Florida investigators are looking for a counselor and former Catholic priest who allegedly planted child pornography on the computer of another former priest.
Alfred Justin Boulerice faces charges of trespassing, tampering with evidence and making a false report to law enforcement.
The investigation began last year, when someone anonymously called police and said they saw child pornography on a computer belonging to Gerald Lamothe. He was arrested and charged, but exonerated in February after an informant told police the pictures were planted.
The 29-year-old Boulerice's last known address was in Vero Beach, but police aren't sure where he is now. He's known in the community after running for school board, and worked for years as a religious counselor after leaving the priesthood and getting married.
