CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested two drug traffickers in two separate cases over the past weekend. Arrested for trafficking were David Phillip Nelson, 160 Charlotte St., Punta Gorda, and Lester Eugene Baldridge Jr., 35, 6553 Bernadean Blvd, community of Cleveland, east of Punta Gorda.
The CCSO Warrant Squad located Baldridge at 1227 Autumn St., Port Charlotte, with warrants stemming from two drug buys by Narcotics detectives, one on June 24 and the other July 22. Baldridge was charged with Trafficking in Oxycodone, two counts of Sale and Delivery of Oxycodone, two counts of Possession of Oxycodone and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He remains in the Charlotte County Jail on $32,500 bond.
Nelson was arrested on a routine traffic stop for seat belt violation as a passenger in a Buick at Riverside Dr. and Regent Rd. east of Punta Gorda. A search of Nelson found a plastic baggie containing quantities of Oxycodone, Methadone, Darvecet, Percocet and Methadone pills. Nelson was transported to the County Jail and charged with Trafficking in Opiates, Possession of Oxycodone, Methadone, Darvecet and Percocet. He remains in jail on $35,000 bond; this is Nelson’s 18th booking with 20 records.
