ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - A judge in Orlando has ended former astronaut Lisa Nowak's probation three months early.
      
Nowak had been sentenced in November to a year of probation after pleading guilty to burglary charges. Orange County Circuit Court Judge Marc Lubet on Monday granted her request to end her sentence early.
      
The former astronaut drove 1,000 miles from Houston to Orlando in 2007 to mount a bizarre attack on romantic rival Colleen Shipman.
      
Nowak's attorney Donald Lykkebak said Saturday that Lubet granted Nowak's request because she had fulfilled all her obligations, including writing an apology letter to Shipman.
      
Last week, a Navy panel reviewing Nowak's case recommended downgrading her from captain to commander and giving her a discharge of "other than honorable."
