MIAMI (AP) - Five men from Honduras have been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle 2,500 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a shipment of hay bales.
A Coast Guard cutter on patrol encoutered the men on a fishing vessel. A crew boarded the ship and first found 11 hay bales on the desk. A further investigation turned up 77 more.
The men, ranging in age from 34 to 44, all face drug-trafficking charges. They were transported to Miami earlier this month and arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
