FORT MYERS, Fla. - In an early Wednesday morning e-mail, Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum conceded the GOP primary race for Governor.
"The votes today have been tallied and I accept the voters' decision" McCollum wrote to his supporters. He even took a shot at his Republican opponent, Rick Scott by saying, "No one could have anticipated the entrance of a multi-millionaire with a questionable past who shattered campaign spending records and spent more in four months than has ever been spent in a primary race here in Florida."
McCollum says his focus now goes back finishing out his term as Attorney General and following through on his lawsuit against President Obama's health care reforms and supporting state's rights to crack down on illegal immigration.
