CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - A fatal accident occurred on State Road 93 at mile marker 180 in Charlotte County Wednesday.

Vehicle-1 was southbound on SR 93. Vehicle-2 was northbound on SR 93. V-1 crossed the center median and entered the northbound lanes into the path of oncoming V-2. D-2 swerved toward the shoulder in an attempt to avoid collision. The front of V-1 collided with V-2's trailer. D-1 was transported by Bayflite.

The northbound lanes were closed until 4PM.
