Firefighters battle overnight fire in Lehigh Acres

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - The State Fire Marshal is on the scene of an overnight fire at a home in Lehigh Acres.
The fire broke out around 1 a.m. on Terry Avenue South. First responders reported heavy smoke and flames. Firefighters were able to contain the fire quickly, but as of 5 a.m. there was still smoke seen coming from the roof.
A man inside the home was able to make it out safely.
No word yet what caused the fire.
