MIAMI (AP) - Authorities have not yet released the name of the man who died after suffering a severe allergic reaction to food on a cruise ship, forcing passengers to return to the Port of Miami.
The unidentified 21-year-old man died Saturday onboard Norwegian Cruise Line's Epic. The 1,080-foot boat big enough for 4,100 guests returned to the port early Sunday. It had been the start of a seven-day Caribbean trip.
The FBI in Miami confirmed the death and said foul play is not suspected. Authorities have not released further information about the death.
The Miami-based cruise line issued a statement saying the victim had suffered a heart attack, but declined to give further information citing privacy concerns.
