LEE COUNTY, Fla. - One of Lee county's public defenders finds herself on the wrong side of the law and out of a job. Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Karen Miller Thursday morning on D-U-I charges. This after Miller was witnessed driving erratically and crashing into another vehicle near Hancock Bridge Parkway and Highway 41 in Fort Myers.
Miller allegedly refused to perform a field sobriety test and deputies say after a short struggle Miller was taken into custody.
According to the deputies report Miller repeatedly exclaimed , "Do you know who I am?".
She was booked and has since bonded out of jail.
Miller was terminated from her position as a public defender on Friday.
Her next court appearance is August 30.
