MIAMI (AP) - A Haitian girl who had an 18-pound tumor removed by Miami surgeons over five years ago will have to undergo another operation to remove a tumor regrowth.

Marlie Casseus previously underwent five facial reconstructive surgeries to remove a melon-size tumor that covered most of her face, blocking her mouth and nasal passages.

Casseus is now having trouble breathing again.

The 18-year-old has a rare genetic condition called Polyostotic fibrous dysplasia, which has also distorted her arms, hands and fingers. Casseus' doctor says she is suffering from a recurrence and that surgery is needed to remove a mass affecting her nasal cavity.

Casseus appeared at a press conference Thursday at Holtz Children's Hospital to help raise money for the operation.
