TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - An attempted robbery at a Tampa Walgreens was thwarted when a 69-year-old customer attacked the suspect with his cane.
Tampa police say Wednesday's robber had a paper bag over his hand, pointed it at a clerk and demanded money. Before he could get any, the customer struck the man with his cane and chased him out of the store.
Police are still searching for the suspect, an 18-to-25-year-old man standing 5-foot-8 and weighing about 150 pounds.
