NAPLES, Fla. - Students were not deterred from the rain as they protested their band director's forced transfer.

Students claimed the accusations against former band director Kelly Parker are untrue. She did not break policy.

Parker was transferred to another school after she got in trouble for keeping the kids on the practice fields during a lightening store. She is now at Golden Terrace elementary. The band director position at Barron Collier was filled last week.

The students hope to bring attention to votes in the upcoming school board election.
