FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Fort Myers police officer was fired for letting a drunk driver leave a checkpoint.
An internal investigation said Officer Mikue Cela allowed a drunk driver to leave a checkpoint back in March, and lied about it afterwards.
Cela had been with the department since 2001.
