A man accused of threatening another driver and trying to ram his car in Lee County will likely be extradited to New Jersey where he’s awaiting trial on a manslaughter charge.

Zachary Latham, 18, was arrested Jan. 24 in south Lee after troopers say he threatened another driver with a BB gun that resembled an AK-47, and then tried to ram the driver’s car.

He was released Jan. 25 on $40,000 bond, and prosecutors in New Jersey are now working to bring him back after his pre-trial release was revoked.

New Jersey investigators have accused Latham of stabbing to death a neighbor last year for what prosecutors say was his attempt at being famous on TikTok. Latham’s attorney says Latham was acting in self-defense.

Latham was granted release from jail in New Jersey while awaiting trial because the state doesn’t have a bail system like the one we have in Florida. Prosecutors there charged him with manslaughter and a judge let him go. He then moved to Naples.
