COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - A Collier County man is in jail, after deputies say he threatened to cut off parts of his girlfriend's body.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, Carlos "Anthony" Ruiz threatened to cut off his girlfriend's fingers, toes, and tongue because he thought she was lying to him.

The girl's mother called 9-1-1. Police arrested Ruiz, who is now facing multiple charges.
