UPDATE: Suspicious suitcase deemed safe at Bonita Springs shopping center

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - A K-Mart store and nearby stores in a Bonita Springs shopping center have been evacuated following the discovery of a suspicious package.

According to one witness, the store was evacuated around 10:15 a.m.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is at the scene investigating the incident at the K-Mart store, located at Bonita Beach Road Southeast.
