FORT MYERS, Fla. - Deputies say the man who stabbed himself in the neck during an undercover operation was the target of a facebook sting where he was trying to continue a sexual relationship with a young girl.
Deputies say Paul Lisowski used Facebook to contact a teen girl he had a previous relationship with.
He was arrested in December of 2009 on charges of molestation involving the same girl.
Deputies say he moved away but kept in touch with the girl through Facebook chat. Her parents reported a recent conversation they had to deputies and they set up a sting to catch him.
When they confronted him last night, deputies say he stabbed himself in the neck.
Lisowski was listed in critical condition at Lee Memorial Hospital as of Thursday night.
He faces charges for using a computer to try and seduce a minor and interfering with the custody of a minor.
