FORT MYERS, Fla. - Authorities believe there may be a connection between a robbery from this past weekend and a Tuesday night robbery at a gas station.
The first robbery occurred Sunday night at the Stop and Shop on Evans Avenue around 11:00 p.m. Police say the man in the video looks like the suspect in a Tuesday night robbery at the Pure Gas station on Fowler Street.
In both crimes, a white male wearing all black and a black mask robbed the store with a gun. In Sunday's robbery, the suspect may have acted alone and fled on foot. In the robbery on Tuesday, police say the suspect had an accomplice watching the door and a female driving the getaway car.
Anyone who has information about these robberies is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
