FORT MYERS, Fla. - South Fort Myers High School students got some hands-on experience today in firefighting.

The high school's fire academy students took part in the live fire burn activity - a lesson in igniting and extinguishing fire.

Instructors set a 7-foot tall structure on fire and students tested their skills in extinguishing the flames.
