DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. - A teen is dead and a woman is recovering from serious injuries sustained in an early morning crash in Desoto County on Monday, May 10, 2010.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 22-year-old motorist lost control of his vehicle while traveling on State Road 70.

Authorities say the car started spinning before slamming into another car. The collision killed 19-year-old Jarret Bennett; 46-year-old Jenny Bennet sustained serious injuries in the crash.
