NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a five-acre brush fire located in the area of Baughman Lane in the area of Bayshore late in the afternoon Thursday.

Authorities from the Florida Division of Forestry told WINK News that they're actively working the brush fire off Baughman and Nalle; it is reportedly threatening several structures in the area.

Authorities had multiple ground crews at the scene, along with fire department helicopters.

As of 5:00 p.m., the fire was fully contained. The cause is still under investigation.
