LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Two brothers are dead after a late night shooting involving deputies in Lehigh Acres.
Public Information Officer John Sheehan reports deputies arrived at 725 La Plata Avenue around 2:00am Saturday.
When deputies arrived, they found 44-year-old Alexander Alfonso with critical gunshot wounds in front of the home he shared with his 40-year-old brother Arnold Alfonso.
Alexander died a short time later.
During the course of the investigation, deputies entered the home.
Arnold Alfonso opened fire on the deputies and was fatally shot in the exchange of gun fire.
One other adult was home at the time.
No deputies were injured in the incident.
There is still no word as to what led to the initial shooting.
