INVERNESS, Fla. - A 32-year-old woman has been charged with carjacking and murder after authorities say she got behind the wheel of a vehicle and ran over its owner.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office says Jennifer Marino entered the Best Friends Grooming Salon in Inverness on Wednesday looking for a ride to Wildwood, about 20 miles east. When she got no offers, deputies say Marino got into a 2004 Saturn Vue and tried to drive off in it. That's when the vehicle's owner, 64-year-old Mary Haynie ran out of the salon to stop her.

According to investigators, a scuffle ensued and Marino ran over Haynie. The Lecanto woman was transported to Citrus Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Marino was later located and charged in Haynie's death.
