FORT MYERS, Fla.- A man was arrested at Southwest Florida International Airport on Thursday for allegedly transporting a firearm in his carry-on bag.

Terry Stephens, 64, was stopped by TSA as his bag was passing through the check point when personnel noticed a .22 long rifle semi auto pistol among several electronic items, according to the Lee County Port Authority.

Stephens was asked if he noticed the signs prohibiting firearms in the screening point and he stated he did not pay attention to the signs.

According to officials, Stephens also stated he did not have a CCF license.
