NAPLES MANOR, Fla. - A pregnant woman is recovering, after she told Collier County deputies she was run over by a car on purpose.

Christina Souriac, the alleged driver, is being held in the Collier County Jail on no bond.

In Souriac's booking report, the victim is not identified.

The report says the woman was rushed to the hospital Friday night when she was hit by a car in front of 5328 Floridan Ave.

From her hospital bed, the victim told investigators she'd like to press charges against Souriac. According to the report, the victim said she was trying to break up a fight when Souriac got into her car and accelerated, using the door to knock her over.  The victim went on to tell investigators that Souriac backed up over her and drove away.

Hospital staff then told deputies the victim would be transferred to an out-of-county hospital as a trauma alert, due to the extent of her injuries.

WINK News spoke to neighbors on Floridan Ave. who said they were woken up by the commotion, but not surprised by it.  The neighbors, too nervous to appear on camera, said they often heard yelling from the house and saw people coming and going at all hours.

Deputies found the car used in the alleged attack on Saturday.  It was near the Tuscan Isles Apartments, where Souriac was arrested.

According to her booking report, Souriac confessed to intentionally running over a woman whom she knew was pregnant.
