COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Only WINK News cameras were rolling as deputies handcuffed 25-year-old Natalie Morejon outside a gas station on Pine Ridge Road on Wednesday.
Deputies say a half-hour earlier, Morejon was at this Wells Fargo Bank on Collier Boulevard and tried to cash a stolen check for almost $22 hundred. Tellers were already alerted to the scheme. They called deputies and said that Morejon drove off.
Morejon's arrest report shows as she left the bank, she hit two people in a red Cadillac and took off. Angelo Vega was sitting in the passenger's seat of the Cadillac and showed Wink News the damage.
"She just merged into our lane and I guess sped off as soon as I got out of the car," said Vega.
Detectives said Morejon, who lives in the Miami area, was driving on a permanently suspended license! Investigators also say the check she was trying to cash was stolen out of a car in Orlando.
Wink News looked up her arrest record and found out she's been arrested more than 15 times in the Miami area since 2007. She's faced charges of prostitution, grand theft, drug possession and accusing an officer of sexual battery.
Morejon said nothing to the judge in court on Thursday. But, she now has four new charges added to her already extensive record. She's being held on $16 thousand bond.
