FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police have made an arrest for the homicide of a transgender woman on June 19th of this year.

Terry Lynn Brady, 45, is accused of killing Yaz'min Shancez, legally named Eddie Owens, and setting her body on fire.

Brady was booked on one count of second degree murder. A judge ordered Brady to be held without bond.

Shancez' body was found burned behind a building on Fowler Street.

Someone told police that Shancez' outed Brady on Facebook, saying that he had sexual relations with other men.

Police said a bra the victim was wearing at the time of the killing tested positive for gasoline, and detectives said they found a pair of bloody shorts inside Brady's bedroom, along with a gun that was linked to the scene.
