LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Lee County Sheriff's deputies have arrested the man accused of crashing into a house on Bethany Home Dr. just after midnight on Sunday.

Jacob Zambrana, 38, was initially take to Lehigh Regional Hospital, but has since been released and is now facing DUI charges. No one else was injured in the crash.

Emergency room personnel told deputies that Zambrana tested positive for drug use and had a blood alcohol content of .230, according to his arrest report.

Zambrana crashed into the home after running through a stop sign at Bethany Home Rd. and Richmond Ave. S. His truck hit the culvert and flew, tail-up, into the air. The truck traveled 10 feet in the air before hitting the roof over the front door of the home and sliding down the front of the house. The vehicle came to its final rest on its nose, with its rear bumper in the air.

A couple was sleeping inside the home at the time.
