CAPE CORAL, Fla. - One man is dead and two more are injured after a party turned violent. Saturday afternoon Cape Coral Police arrested 20-year-old Christopher Manley for second-degree murder. Police say he shot and killed 27-year-old Matthew Pech of St. James City.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., the Cape Coral Police Department received several calls indicating that there was a large disturbance in the 400 block of SE 12th Court.
While officers were responding, additional callers indicated that there were several gun shots heard. Upon arrival, officers found approximately 35 people in the roadway along with three gunshot victims. Two of the gunshot victims received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals. However, the other victim, Pech, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police continue to investigate but tell WINK News the community does not appear to be in danger at this time.
