FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police are investigating an early morning shooting Saturday that left one man dead.
Police have identified the victim as 17-year-old Malique Brown of Lehigh Acres.
The Fort Myers Police Department responded to a call of gunshots heard in the 3100 block of Franklin Street. Police say they found Brown laying in the driveway of the 3100 block of Franklin Street suffering from a gunshot wound. Lee County Emergency Medical Service responded and pronounced the subject deceased.
Police have cordoned off the crime scene. Detectives along with Crime Scene Technicians are actively working the investigation to include identifying the victim. FMPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a person or persons responsible for any homicide in the City of Fort Myers. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
