CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral Police arrested 32-year-old Autumn Glick for battery on a person 65 or older after a violent confrontation at Lowe's on NE Pine Island Road.

On March 20th, officers responded to the store in reference to a disturbance. By the time they arrived, it had ended. Officers learned that a verbal confrontation over cutting in line at a loading area near the garden center turned violent.

One customer verbally assaulted another. Glick, the alleged irate customer, then jumped into the bed of the victim's pickup truck and began throwing bags of mulch out of the bed that had been loaded in for purchase. The suspect further escalated things when she reportedly slapped and kicked the victim.

Witnesses provided written statements to officers, and a clear cellphone video, which enabled officers to make a positive identification of the suspect and her vehicle, which matched the description of the suspect vehicle that left prior to officers arriving. Officers went to Glick's house and made contact with her through a window at the home. Glick, refused to come out of the house reportedly saying, “If I do, I’ll be going in the back of your car.” She also allegedly told officers that she had no one to care for her children until her husband returned home.

Today, officers returned to Glick’s residence and took her into custody without incident. She was transported to Cape Coral Police Department for processing then later to Lee County Jail.
