FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police have made an arrest in a robbery to Fifth Third Bank, located at 11511 S.R. 82, in September of this year.
At 10:00 a.m. this morning, police located Lequain Hudson, 20, at the Westchase apartments and arrested him for the crime.
The bank was robbed by two masked men on September 3 just before 11:00 a.m. Upon arrival on the scene, police learned that a white van pulled up to the bank. Two masked males jumped out of the van and ran into the bank demanding money. One of them was armed with a gun. No shots were fired and no one was hurt. The suspects fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects got back into the van where a third suspect was waiting and they drove away. Police recovered the van in Lehigh Acres.
At the time of his arrest, Hudson was found in possession of 5 grams of crack-cocaine and .8 grams of heroin. Hudson faces charges of robbery with a firearm, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant for failure to appear for a felony offense.
The investigation remains active at this time.
