LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Church vandals spray paint two dozen vulgar phrases and sexual images inside a community church building under construction.
The crime was discovered by Deacon Gartrell Johnson, 72, Tuesday at the building off 15th Street West.
The building is being privately funded by parishoners of Lehigh Community Baptist Church.
The graffiti paintings covered the walls from the entrance to the santuary.
Deputies determined the vandals broke into the vacant building through a side window.
The church group had been constructing the building since 2009, and reported someone smashing 22 windows with rocks back in 2010.
No arrests have been made in either case.
