CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral Police discovered a meth lab at 708 SE 4th Terrace, Unit A, yesterday, and arrested two people.
A search of the residence yielded paraphernalia and chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, including 3.1 lbs. of “meth oil.”
Police arrested 31-year-old Darren Fretwell, who was charged with possession of a structure for trafficking in or manufacturing a controlled substance with a minor present and child neglect. They also arrested his sister, 31-year-old Michelle Fretwell for child neglect, due to the fact that she was aware of her brother cooking methamphetamine while making no attempt to remove her children to a safe place.
DCF was notified and the children were taken into protective custody. CCFD HAZMAT responded and the location was decontaminated and made safe.
