NEW YORK (AP) - A fourth motorcyclist has been arrested in connection with the beating of a motorist pulled from his car and set upon by a group of bikers in New York City.
Police say 29-year-old Craig Wright, of Brooklyn, was arrested Monday on charges of gang assault, assault and unlawful imprisonment. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
Police say the bikers stopped the SUV on a highway and later attacked the vehicle and pulled the driver from his car after he had plowed over a Massachusetts motorcyclist while trying to escape the initial confrontation.
The driver's wife has said her husband was trying to protect her and their 2-year-old child when he fled and ran over the biker, injuring his spine.
Three other bikers have been charged in the incident.
