LEE COUNTY, Fla.- There's been another arrest in an undercover operation involving an elaborate fraud scheme involving food stamp cards.
Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested 36-year-old Ruth Carr this morning. She's accused of selling her Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card to Michael Schnatter for $100.
Deputies say Schnatter is the ring leader of the operation that has cost taxpayers more than $1 million.
