FORT MYERS, Fla. - On July 26th, 2013 at 6:42 am, the Fort Myers Police Department’s Special Investigations Group with the assistance of SWAT and uniformed officers served two search warrants at 3123 Economy Street and 3150 Economy Street, apartment B.  The investigation was a result of complaints in reference possible drug dealing at the intersection of Raleigh Street and Economy Street.  Undercover drug detectives initiated an investigation and discovered the drug sales were in fact coming from two residences on Economy Street.  These residences are within 1000 feet of the Royal Palm Exceptional School and the Dunbar Public Library.              

The following subjects were arrested from 3123 Economy Street:

 Quantavious Davis 06/18/1991: Possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1000’ of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia

Billy Davis 03/10/64: Possession of marijuana  

The following evidence was seized:

118 grams of marijuana or approximately four ounces

Items of drug paraphernalia used to package and weigh the marijuana in preparation for street distribution.  

Fort Myers Code Enforcement was also asked to respond due to the condition of the residence.  Code Enforcement did an assessment of the property and gave a “Vacant in 48 hours” notification.  Their investigation is also ongoing.

The second Search warrant was at 3150 Economy Street apartment B.  Detectives made undercover drug purchases from the residence.  Upon executing, the detectives detained one subject who was later released.

Detectives discovered numerous baggies commonly used to package street level drugs for distribution.  In addition detectives discovered empty capsules and a crystal like substance; these items are used by drug dealers in the preparation and manufacture of MDMA or Mollie capsules.   Detectives seized all evidence and are submitting substances to the laboratory of FDLE.  Charges could be filed when the results come back.  This investigation is ongoing.
