CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.- A 20-year-old murder suspect wanted in Hillsborough County appeared in a Charlotte County courtroom this morning.
Lawrence Bongiovanni is being held without bail in Charlotte County for premeditated murder. He is on probation in Seminole County until 2017 for aggravated battery.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Bongiovanni and two other suspects robbed a 7-11 in Riverview early yesterday and took off. The store's clerk, 54-year-old Kenneth Lee Redding, was stabbed to death.
Bongiovanni faces a judge tomorrow for charges on violating his probation.
