PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Major Crimes detectives arrested a Port Charlotte man Thursday on armed robbery charges stemming from an incident that occurred on Wednesday and they are looking for another man concerning the same incident.
Detectives arrested Brian Curtis Boisvert, 28, on the charge of Robbery with a Firearm. They are still looking for a second man, Justin Roy Webb, 25, whose last known address was listed as 2145 Clairmont Street.
The male and female victims told detectives they drove to Boisvert’s residence to repay prescription pills owed to Boisvert and to give him a ride to the store. When they arrived, they said that Boisvert and Webb came out of the house and got into the back seat of their vehicle. Webb asked to purchase pills from the male victim. When the man refused, they said that Boisvert restrained the man while Webb pulled out a handgun. They said that Boisvert and Webb took cash and prescription medication from them and told them to leave the area.
The victims drove to the Mid-County District 4 Office to report the incident. They said they knew Boisvert personally. Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Webb as the second person alleged to have committed the robbery. The victims were able to positively identify him from a photo line-up.
Boisvert was arrested and transported to the Charlotte County Jail. In May 2013, Boisvert was arrested on charges of Robbery without a Weapon and was released on bond. As a result of Thursday’s arrest, his bond on his previous arrest was revoked and he is being held without bond.
Webb was arrested Wednesday, on charges of Littering Over 500 Pounds and released on bond.
Anyone with information concerning the location of Justin Roy Webb is asked to please contact the Sheriff’s Office at (941) 639-2101, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). The Major Crimes Unit is in charge of this investigation.
