IMMOKALEE, Fla.- Collier County Sheriff's deputies arrested 23-year-old Josue Pierre-Francois, of Immokalee, on Tuesday for alleged sexual battery on a victim under 12 years of age.
On Monday, detectives met with the 11-year-old victim who said she had recently met Pierre-Francois, a member of a rap group called "98 Degreez," and told him she was 15. She said they communicated via a phone messaging system called "kik." The victim told detectives that she invited Pierre-Francois to her home on June 11, when she was home alone. The victim said they went into her bedroom, where things went to far. Though she allegedly told the suspect to stop, he refused.
The victim said Pierre-Francois came over twice more and had sex with her against her wishes, despite the suspect being informed by the victim's cousin that she was only 11 years old.
A sexual assault exam of the victim showed physical signs of trauma, and a blanket in her bedroom tested positive for the presumptive presence of semen.
Detectives interviewed Pierre-Francois in his home regarding the allegations. He gave his permission to search for evidence, and submitted an oral DNA sample. Pierre-Francois was subsequently charged with three counts of sexual battery on a child.
