FLORIDA CITY, Fla.- The Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) arrested a Naples man at 7:30 a.m.for his involvement in a 2012 bank robbery.

Markikevies Mcnichols was arrested in Florida City, though he was allegedly involved in the robbery of a Florida Community Bank located in Naples. He had been on the run since 2012. Deputy U.S. Marshals had been actively pursuing him ever since.

A break in the case opened up with investigative leads, and the U.S. Marshals and members of the FRFTF acted immediately locating Mcinchols in Florida City, near SW 5th and SW 3rd Streets.

The Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force consists of the U.S. Marshals Service, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Collier County Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Fort Myers and Cape Coral police Departments.
