CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral Fire Department personnel responded to a residential structure fire Wednesday night, just after 8:00 p.m., at 1144 N.W. 5th Place. Officials determined it was caused by arson. One person has been arrested.
First arriving units were on scene within six minutes and reported the fire was extinguished. A rapid search of the residence was conducted to ensure no persons were still inside.
Further investigation by fire personnel and the Cape Coral Fire Department Bureau of Life Safety Investigators revealed this as an incendiary fire.
The Cape Coral Fire Department, the Florida State Fire Marshal and the Cape Coral Police department worked together to make an arson arrest of a male subject seen fleeing the scene of the fire.
