PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Sheriff's Office Narcotics detectives served a search warrant this morning at Sunshine Villas and arrested a man on charges of Sale and Delivery of Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana.
On April 29, undercover detectives arranged to purchase crack cocaine from a man identified as Steve Robert Cook III, 23, of 21150 Gertrude Avenue, Apt. B2. A second such purchase was arranged on May 7.
Narcotics detectives obtained a search warrant for Cook’s address, which was served this morning. When detectives entered the residence, Cook was found to be in possession of two small baggies that contained a green leafy substance that tested positive for THC. Additional baggies of marijuana were located in a container in Cook’s bathroom.
Cook was charged with two counts of Sale and Delivery of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. He was being held at the Charlotte County Jail on no bond.
This was the second narcotics-related search warrant served in as many days in the Parkside area. Another search warrant was executed yesterday on Hepner Avenue.
