PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- A former Charlotte County resident, who was arrested in Tallahassee last week on Charlotte County warrants for Capital Sexual Battery, was transferred to Charlotte County Thursday and now faces an additional charge.
Quinton Paul Handlon, 42, was originally arrested in Leon County on May 8 on warrants issued in Charlotte County for Capital Sexual Battery on a child under twelve years of age and four additional counts of sexual battery. The offenses occurred between 2009 and 2013 in Charlotte County.
He was transferred from the Leon County Jail to the Charlotte County Jail on Thursday on those charges. Earlier today, Major Crimes detectives also charged him with Lewd and Lascivious Battery on a Victim 12 to 16 Years of Age in relation to a different alleged victim.
In 2010 when the victim was 13 years old, Handlon is alleged to have taken her for a ride in his car. While they were riding, the victim said that Handlon was rubbing various parts of her body against her will. He continued to touch her inappropriately even though she continued to slap his hand away.
The investigation involving Handlon is still on-going.
