FORT MYERS, Fla.- Authorities say 36-year-old Dominique Lamar Williams was indicted on two counts of distributing cocaine. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in federal prison on each count.
According to the indictment, on two different occasions Williams sold cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine, to an undercover Lee County Sheriff's Office detective.
An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed a violation of the federal criminal laws, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.
