PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a beige Ford Crown Victoria, after officers allegedly noticed the driver not wearing a seatbelt. The traffic stop resulted in the arrest of 43-year-old Felix Jordan on drug trafficking charges.
The deputy issued Jordan a warning for the seatbelt violation, and was then asked if he had any weapons, drugs or contraband inside the vehicle. Jordan answered no, and he then gave consent to search his vehicle. The deputy located a prescription pill bottle which had the label removed. Officers located 160 Oxycodone 30 mg pills in the bottle. Jordan was then placed under arrest for Possession of Controlled Substance, Trafficking in Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Jordan was taken to the Charlotte County Jail he was booked and then released on a 28,500 bond. Anyone with knowledge of illegal drug activity is asked to please call the CCSO Narcotics Unit at 941-575-2157, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
