FORT MYERS, Fla.- Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested 39-year-old Antonio Rivas Ayala just before midnight on Monday, after a couple allegedly caught him peering through their bedroom window.

The complainants described the suspect to deputies, saying he was watching them in their home on Bartow Blvd. One of the victims ran outside and chased after Ayala, according to the arrest report, but said he ran into a nearby home. Deputies found him there, wearing the same clothes as the victims had described. He initially resisted being handcuffed. Once successfully detained, the victims identified positively him.

Additionally, while checking the outside area near the victims' bedroom window, a deputy noticed a liquid substance dripping down the wall. The area was swabbed and photos were taken. Ayala was charged with loitering/prowling and resisting officers.
