LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Officers with the Lee County Port Authority arrested a 45-year-old Naples woman at the Southwest Florida International Airport just before 5:30 a.m. this morning. Nana Mimura allegedly created a scene while at the Spirit airline counter.
The airline called authorities regarding a "disgruntled passenger." When officers arrived, they observed a couple arguing with the ticket agents. The Spirit manager wanted them taken away from the counter.
The man with Mimura said they felt they were being "ripped off," though he began to calm down as the Port Authority officers spoke with him. Mimura pulled out her iPhone, however, and began to record the ticket agents.
According to her arrest report, she was screaming and cursing at the agents. She allegedly refused to leave the area after being asked several times, and continued to record the agents. The report states she began running around, creating a scene and resisting officers. They say she began to physically resist officers and was placed on the ground in order to be handcuffed.
Mimura later apologized, telling officers she was upset over Spirit airlines.
